Teen Advisory Group (TAG)
The Merrimac Public Library’s Teen Advisory Group (TAG) is looking for Merrimac students in grades 6-12 who want to help the library and the community by planning and promoting youth events and services in Merrimac. Each TAG member will earn community service hours for attending monthly meetings and participating in any other volunteer opportunities with the group. We’ll even collaborate with the West Newbury and Groveland Public Library TAG groups a few times during the year for fun events and volunteer programs.
Some of the fun services and events we’ve sponsored over the last two years include TAG Takeout (themed subscription book boxes with crafts and swag), partnering with the Merrimack Valley Hope Mission to make scarves and bagged lunches to hand out to the homeless in Haverhill, bringing therapy dogs to the Pentucket High School library, providing Take and Make craft kits, a Silent Disco Halloween event and more!
We will meet the second Thursday of each month (November – May) from 4:00 - 5:00 PM at the library. Snacks will be provided! To join the TAG team go to: Eventbrite: Teen Advisory Group.
Our upcoming meeting schedule:
- Thursday, March 9
- Thursday, April 13
- Thursday, May 11
